We will meet together every week for a live coaching masterclass. After each session, you will complete a bite-sized coaching challenges to build a coaching habit. Back in 2016, I thought I was a great coach. I was expert. Sharing my knowledge to anyone who would listen. As my career grew I started to notice a shift. The teams I led didn't want my advice. They wanted something else. Coaching.
I soon learned that coaching is less about being the expert. It's more about helping others be the expert.
Coaching doesn’t always come naturally. When you are under pressure, the default is often to command. To just tell people straight. Whilst that can be useful, many situations call for a different approach. A more coach-like style of leadership.
This program is fundamentally about changing leadership habits.

You can’t think your way to change. You must act. That is why this program focuses on the daily actions that add up.
The steps to become a certified coach might seem different. For example, if you became a certified Scrum Master, all it took was a short two day course, quick exam then instant certification.
In contrast, The International Coach Federation (ICF) is the Gold Standard of coaching. The bar to certification is higher and it can be a little confusing.
In simplest terms, there are three steps. And I'll be with you every step of the way.
Complete this Level 1 Certified Program
Over 12-weeks together we will complete 60hrs of learning + 10hrs of mentoring. At the end you will complete an evaluation of your coaching which requires a passing score.
Conduct 100 hours of coaching
Sounds a lot, but by the time you complete the training, most leaders will have already done around 24hrs of practice sessions. The remainder you can get very quickly by harnessing the course alumni network.
Pass the ICF Credentialing Exam
Yikes! I know we all hate exams, but you shouldn't worry. The training we complete together equips you fully to get a passing score.

I'm a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation. Many coaches claim to be professionals but few have undertaken rigorous training. To get this credential means I've completed 125hrs of training and delivered over 500hrs coaching conversations.
